Business Broadband Packages up to 24MB 20:1 to 1:1 Contention ...
What does that mean exactly?
The number before "MB" refers to the maximum download speed you can expect. The higher the number the better! To put this in perspective, many companies offering similar prices to us are only offering 1MB maximum download speed, while our Business Broadband packages have up to 24MB (so up to 24 times as fast downloads - especially important if you are downloading large files such as documents, software, etc.
The Contention numbers (1:1 to 20:1) refer to the number of people sharing the section of broadband that you are using. Considering that some of the major Broadband players may use up to 1000:1 contention, you'll find a considerably better quality of service with CrazyFox's service.
18 Month or 30 Day Broadband Contract ...
18 month contracts entitle you to automatic free setup.
30 day contracts mean you pay for setup, and then are in a rolling 30 day contract. You'll find that many Broadband service providers won't offer 30 day contracts, preferring to catch you in a 18 month contract - The reason? Well, let's just say that with some other Broadband providers their advertising doesn't always match the quality of service you get. In fact some customers try us out on the 30 day contract and then convert to the 18 month contract - the only downside though is that you end up paying for the setup!Upload Speeds ...
This is the speed which data takes to get from you to the internet - For example sending a file to someone by email; uploading a file to your web site.
The speed of downloading is normally faster than the speed available to upload. This has been done purposely as people 'generally' download (music, videos) more than they upload. All ADSL lines work faster in one direction than the other.
To combat the upload speeds of ADSL, you also have the option of SDSL lines. SDSL lines offer the same upload/download speed both ways.
Business Broadband Network Priority ...
As business users upload more than home users, these business packages have various upload upgrades over home users broadband.
Plus, due to the network priority business packages receive during what would normally be congested and peak times, business broadband packages don' t suffer from those annoying "slow downs" which can destroy your productivity.
LLU, Data stream, IP Stream and Annex ...
LLU (local loop unbundled), Data stream, ipstream and Annex are all different types of broadband using differing technologies and providers.
The several Business Broadband packages which all have 20:1 contention, 832k upload and 8mb daytime use, are priced differently according to the technology supplying the broadband service. Generally, the more robust and resilient the technology is, the higher the cost.
Static IP ...
Simply, an IP address is like your business address. It is used to identify your computer or other network device on the internet. Every computer/router connecting to the internet needs one, and without it your PC can’t communicate with other devices or access the internet.
There are several benefits to a static Ip address, including less downtime, remote access to your PC from anywhere in the World, and more.
