CrazyFox Broadband has put together various home broadband packages to ensure you get a consistent quality service.

Each package has specific maximum usage which allows us to have a planned capacity guaranteeing you a dependable service. This means that you don't end up spending more than you need, being able to upgrade your service should you find your usage increases for whatever reason.

Remember, with CrazyFox Broadband, you are always connected to the internet while still being able to use your landline telephone. Plus you can surf the internet up to 40 times faster than dialup (depending on your telephone line).

Note: CrazyFox broadband requires a BT line, is subject to availability in your area and has either a 30 day or 18 month minimum contract. If your line is not Broadband enabled by BT there will a one-off charge of £45.00+VAT (£52.88). (Price correct as of 6th October 2008)

 

What the different Home Broadband package details mean:

All Home Broadband Packages are up to 8MB 50:1 Contention ...

What does that mean exactly?
8MB refers to the maximum download speed you can expect. The higher the number the better!

To put this in perspective, many companies offering similar prices to us are only offering 1MB maximum download speed, while all our packages have 8MB (so 8 times as fast downloads - especially important if you are downloading large files such as music files or ebooks).

50:1 Contention means that there will be up to a maximum of 50 people sharing the section of broadband that you are using. Considering that some of the major Broadband players may use up to 1000:1 contention, you'll find a considerably better quality of service with CrazyFox's 50:1 service.

 

From 3GB to 80GB Monthly Data Transfer (Downloads) ...

What does that mean exactly?
These numbers relate to the amount of data you can download each month.
To put this in perspective, an average music single file is about 5MB, a 100 page eBook is about 1MB (1024 MB in a GB).
Remember though, that when you are visiting a web page, you are downloading data. So if you surf for hours a day, start out with one of the higher download packages.

Our average user generally uses between 1.5 - 2.5GB.

18 Month or 30 Day Broadband Contract ...

18 month contracts entitle you to automatic free setup.
30 day contracts mean you pay for setup, and then are in a rolling 30 day contract. You'll find that many Broadband service providers won't offer 30 day contracts, preferring to catch you in a 18 month contract - The reason? Well, let's just say that with some other Broadband providers their advertising doesn't always match the quality of service you get. In fact some customers try us out on the 30 day contract and then convert to the 18 month contract!

The ideal Home Broadband package if you simply want a no frills high speed internet access package. Plus with 3GB of downloads, you can still download your favourite music or books and view the occasional video.
Not suitable for VoIP but ideal for light home broadband user.

Technical:
3GB of data transfer usage included.
An extra 10GB worth of usage can be purchased at any time if needed.

Available as either a 30 day or 18 month (Free Setup) contract.

 

Medium Home Internet User ...

Home 8MB 50:1 - 10GB

The ideal Home Broadband package if you visit a lot of video sites, download music regularly, and are an active internet user.
Not suitable for VoIP but ideal for medium home broadband user.

Technical:
10GB of data transfer usage included.
An extra 10GB worth of usage can be purchased at any time if needed.

Available as either a 30 day or 18 month (Free Setup) contract.

 

Heavy Home Internet User ...

Home 8MB 50:1 - 35GB

The ideal Home Broadband package if you just love the internet! You'll be playing online games, visiting video sites, downloading music regularly, and are an active internet user.
Not suitable for VoIP but ideal for heavy home broadband user.

Technical:
35GB of data transfer usage included.
An extra 10GB worth of usage can be purchased at any time if needed.

Home 8MB 50:1 - 80GB

The ideal Home Broadband package if you just love the internet even more! You'll be playing online games, visiting video sites, downloading music regularly, and are an active internet user.

An extra 10GB worth of usage can be purchased at any time if needed.

Home 8MB 50:1 - UNLIMITED

Unlimited Home Use DAYTIME Broadband with the upload speed at 448k.
Ideal for home worker or small office. Uses IPStream Technology - Max 8Mb.
You can use as much bandwidth as you like!

Technical:
This is an unlimited service, so there are no additional charges for the time you spend online or the amount of data you transfer.
